Ever since I got my iPhone, I have been using my phone to make calls as well as to stream music from Pandora. Admittedly, I was cheap and just used a super cheap Bluetooth headset for that. Was the sound quality on my calls and music good? No, it was rather terrible actually, but I didn’t want to spend the cash to upgrade to a good quality Bluetooth headset that offered some noise cancelling features. Then a few months later my low cost headset broke and I had to borrow one from a co-worker.
It was a nice Motorola model that opened my eyes up to just what I’d been missing out on by choosing to stay low budget with my headset choice. Needless to stay, when I did my comparison shopping to get myself a shiny new one, I decided to up my budget and go for something that offered good sound quality and some noise reduction or cancellation features. If you’re in the same boat at the moment, keep reading below to learn more about my new favorite option for great sound quality from the best Bluetooth headset for noise cancelling that fits pretty much any budget.
My Pick For Best Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Headset
Since I’d been using my co-worker’s Motorola model, I started my shopping by checking out some of those gadgets. Honestly, I expected to just pick one of them since I enjoyed the sound from the one I’d been loaned. The model that I was considering is the Motorola HX550. It is actually a great buy with a super low price well under $50 when you buy online. It comes with good noise cancelling features and is from a well-known brand leader. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that it offers the best value for the money when it comes to noise cancelling Bluetooth headsets since it is cheap and very budget friendly. But here’s a tip ñ it’s not the best that you can get. In fact, if you can afford to spend a little more, then the Bose Bluetooth Headset Series 2 gives you a heck of a lot more for your money.
Here’s what you need to know about the Bose Bluetooth Headset Series 2 –
- Bose technologies give it the best sound quality of any other brand out there
- It has noise cancellation features AND a noise-rejecting microphone
- Works great with pretty much all smartphones
- Small, comfortable design
- Easy to use controls
- Adaptive audio adjustment feature to detect background noise and adjust your volume automatically
- Rechargeable lithium-ion battery
- Comes with a carrying case, wall charger and USB charger
Probably the best thing about this device is the amazing sound quality that you get. If you stream music or podcasts from your phone, then you owe it to yourself to at least seriously consider this headset. If the price is holding you back, then buying from somewhere with a good return policy like Amazon so that you can at least test it out and see what you’d be missing.
My only gripe about this model is that I wish that the battery got more hours of talk-time. With a full charge, you get just under 5 hours of talk-time. Now, I’m not the super chatty type, but I take long runs and stream my music, which uses up some of the battery. So far, it hasn’t really been an issue for me, so it is only a minor gripe. And, I know that I can easily charge it by USB or the wall outlet. At least it gets 100 hours of standby time, which is nice for business trips and long days of travel.
